Strict quarantine rules have further isolated rural villages throughout Guatemala. These protective masks are woven by twelve women artisans with threads of persistence, hope, and connection from the rural village of El Triunfo, Guatemala.
Each mask provides a Guatemalan women artisan with critical income during a dire time. The artisans are able to be paid a dignified wage for their work and have also pooled funds to buy rice, corn, beans, and other basic necessities in bulk for the community."
